Mosta
Mosta is a small but densely populated city in the Northern Region of Malta. The church narrowly avoided destruction during World War II when on 9 April 1942 a German aerial bomb pierced the dome and fell into the church during Mass, but failed to explode. This event was interpreted by the Maltese as a miracle.
Rabat
Rabat is a Semitic word meaning either “fortified town” or “suburb.” In Roman times the site of Mdina and Rabat was occupied by Melita, the island's capital.
Mdina
Mdina is a fortified medieval town enclosed in bastions, located on a large hill in the centre of Malta. The town was the old capital of Malta, and with its narrow streets, few inhabitants and beautiful views over the Island it is truly a magical town.
